Dota 2 First thoughts

3 Empire members received their DOTA 2 keys today. We’ve tried the game for a couple of hours and really enjoyed it, even if it is still on a beta phase with a couple of small bugs. Our personal thoughts about the game are that we enjoyed the gameplay and graphics. What we didn’t like was the interface of the beta game (hopefully will get adjusted in the future) and that you can’t set your mouse buttons as skill enablers (for example side buttons and mid button on the mouse). But we are all sure that this game will be the bomb when it leaves the beta stage and will be official released.

We will do all we can to try and sort out beta keys to our members so you can have a break from Heroes of Newerth and come join us for some clan action in Dota 2.

Thought HoN and Dota was exactly the same, but Dota seems to be a bit slower on the gameplay. Just need to get used to it i spose.

DOTA 2 ownz! Source engine works so well with this type of games. I love it! As you said the intereface is a bit dull and needs some work but I think it's because developers are trying to focus on a gameplay aspects first. You can tell that they were not working hard on the interface at all cause it's shit! Gameplay and gfx on the other hand are astonishing. I was promised some more keys guys so fingers crossed but even if I wont get them I heard that open beta is coming out for xmas...it would be a nice present don't u agree?:)

I want key now:p so tired of waiting dota is my favourite game of all time... And im talking dota on wc3. have so big expectations on Dota2.

But I will not wait until open beta. I will just find another game to play or stay with hon. hopefully I get a key soon from playdota
