i just bought new graphic card, i cant spend too much money on it so i bought just asus cucore 5770 1gb ddr5. i have between 30-50 fps on 1650x1050 on directx11, just trying to increase it

i didnt check everything so dont blame me if it doesnt work:




1.Changing the DirectX Version

Go to your User Folder (Default for Vista or W7) C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\BFBC2Beta

Find the settings.ini file and open in with Notepad or Wordpad.
Inside the file, near the bottom, find the line that reads:

dxversion=auto. Change it so it reads dxversion=9

This will ensure that BF:BC2 runs on DirectX 9 instead of the default which is either v10 or v11.
This will give you a huge boost in FPS and at the same time, you can increase your quality settings and resolution in-game.

*this one working for me, more fps when choose directx10 or 9*

2. Disable Bloom


Again, open the settings.ini file. Find the line that reads Bloom=true. Change it to Bloom=false. This will disable the Bloom Effect (the white glow) and will boost your FPS as well.

3.Speed the game up when you have multicores or processors
Add “+fullproc” without the quotations to your desktop shortcut or Steam game’s “launch options”. (this should be active at release)

*this one probably doesnt work but cant check it bcs my pc has got just 2 cores:)

4.In-Game Configuration:

In-game, go to OPTIONS - SETTINGS:

On the OVERALL QUALITY button, select ADVANCED
Then on the right side change the values to the following:
Level of Detail: High
Texture Quality: High
Shadow Quality: High
Effects Quality: High
Anti-Aliasing: 1x (DX9 limit in BF:BC2 is 1x)
Anisotrophic Filter: 4x
VSYNC: Off
HBAO: Off

5.Faster Server Browsing
To help speed up your server browsing these tips can help you get results quicker.

Use Favourites/History when possible

If you use the server browser then

Use the server browser
When it starts to search click CANCEL

Select the options:

* Ranked
* Not Full
* Not Empty
* No Password
* Leave Punkbuster checked
* Hit Refresh

You can use your friends list in game to connect on them without accessing the server browser.

6.FOR PEOPLE WITH TROUBLE TO CONNECT (Greek, Paok....)

Port Forwarding

Forward your ports using WEB LINK if you don't know what your doing.

18390 TCP Outgoing
18395 TCP Outgoing
18395 UDP Outgoing
13505 TCP Outgoing
80 TCP Outgoing

What ports should I open for multiplayer if I’m having connectivity trouble? (from EA UK forums)

6. Sound

If your using surround sound speakers test this out, I've heard it increases FPS, can't confirm this by hell it sounds good in intense battles.

Ingame: Options > Settings > Audio > Your Sounds Settings > War Tapes

Where the hell are the game Pings?

There's a few ways to fix this apparently.

The first is to run the game in Admin mode. To do this find the shortcut for the game.

right click > properties > compatibility > Privilege Level > Tick Run As an Administrator > Apply

The second is to turn of UAC. This works for Vista and Win7 users.

WARNING: Turning off UAC is not recommended for Noobs. If you goto a porn site and click a link to marry a Russian bride or believe that your the 100,000 person to go to a website and you've won a free PS2. THEN DON'T TURN THIS OFF

7. If your game is constantly Crashing:

- Make Sure you are running the game as Administrator
