i hope this is not bad news for this game after experience with mw2 with steam support....
Activision and Valve have announced that Call Of Duty: Black Ops will feature Steam support. The military sim is now available for pre-purchase via the download platform. It will utilise the Steamworks suite of tools upon launch. In addition to auto-updating, achievements and other features, Black Ops will be supported by Steam's Cloud technology, which enables users to store profiles, key-bindings and saved games online. "We are delighted to be delivering the year's most anticipated title with Black Ops to PC gamers around the world," said Valve director Jason Holtman. "We've collaborated with the development team to leverage the Steamworks suite of services to deliver the highest level of service to Call Of Duty: Black Ops PC customers." Developed by Treyarch, Call Of Duty: Black Ops launches on November 9. Customers who purchase the PC edition through Steam will be able to play it on the day of release. |

Actually, steam is very stable. It was "Modern warfare 2" that sucked. Their servers were bad and so was the "matchmaking/finder" as well.
I doubt there's going to be any issues with "Black Ops". |
