The other day I was talking with Rage, he told me he wanted to buy a new comp too..after researching benchmarks and stuff, I can tell you for sure the following best buys:

• CPU: INTEL CORE I5-750 2.66 GHZ LGA1156 (178.00 €)


• MOBO: Anything with a P55 chipset with LGA1156 socket. Cheapest: ASROCK P55DE3ASROCK P55DE3 (86.00 €) or: GIGABYTE GA-P55-UD3LGIGABYTE GA-P55-UD3L (98.00 €) or something more expensive with support for new SATA3: GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3 (121.00 €)


• GPU: SAPPHIRE RADEON HD5850 1GB PCI-E RETAIL (235.00 €)


• RAM: 4GB - Standard ones: CORSAIR XMS3 DHX PC3-10666 (1333MHZ) (95.00 €) and Extreme ones:G.SKILL DDR3 PC3-17066 (2133MHZ) (155.00 €)


• PSU: You need at least 600W for a single GPU. Best companies out there are Tagan, Enermax, Seasonic, or HEC (Heroichi) - Cheap one: TAGAN TG600-U33II SUPERROCK 600W (87.00 €) and a more expensive one: ENERMAX EMD625AWT MODU82+ 625W (149.00 €)

The rest parts for your rig, such as a third-party cooling solution for your CPU are up to you..so with 700 € you could buy the cheapest and with 840 € the most expensive of the above parts.

Valandis malaka is it best for me to buy a good dual core (Phenom x2 550 black) or a cheap quad core (Phenom x4 620)? I will get a x4 965 or whatever is around next year so which one is best to use for the next year?

The dual seems to outperform the quad for most tasks but maybe the quad is better for gaming. Anyway let me know so I can order tonight
